The Disappeared by Sibel Hodge
I just loved this book, and didn’t want to put it down- especially at the end which I found very emotional.
Dr Mason Palmer and his wife Nicole are going though a difficult time in their marriage, so Mason travels to Africa to work in a medical centre there. Mason then finds out a bit too much information for his own good about what is really happening in this corrupt part of Africa, and when he decides to come home, his plane crashes in the bush, and there are seemingly no survivors.
10 months later, the grieving Nicole starts to receive notes which she thinks could only come from Mason. Did he really die. The only way for her to find out is to travel to the medical centre in Africa.
Add to the mix that someone is following her, people are dying, and the Police not only don’t believe her, but are suspicious of her, and this makes for compelling reading.
A sure hit for Sibel Hodge.
