The Minders by John Marrs

I have read everything by John Marrs, and have been a massive fan since the start of his writing career. Probably my two favourite books of his have been The One and The Passengers. When I found out that the Minders referenced these 2 books my happiness was at a whole new level! John Marrs is a master of intrigue and suspense, and also of leading you up paths you didn't realise you were travelling. His writing is just brilliant and every word is carefully thought out and placed. This book is utterly amazing. I feel privileged at having read it and envious of those who have yet to read it.

In the UK cyber hacking is rife, and so the secrets of the country are implanted into 5 people with extraordinary skills - the Minders. Their job is to stay safe, live cut off from their previous lives, and guard the data in their heads.

When Minders start being killed, what happens to the nation's security, and what steps can the other Minders take to ensure that they won't be next?

There are not enough superlatives for this book. Definitely a 'must read'.
